General presentation
The DTIVA/U relay is an intelligent electronic device for protection and control dedicated to transmission, distribution and industry; it belongs to the DTIVA product family within the PROTECTA product range.
DTIVA products are configured to protect, control and supervise the components of public and industrial electrical networks, including radial, ring and meshed distribution networks. Thanks to their modular architecture, the modules are assembled and configured according to the user’s needs; the software then determines the functions (SFB).
The EuroCAP configuration tool, available free of charge, provides a user-friendly and flexible application for protection, control and measurement functions, ensuring that the devices are fully customisable.

- High-capacity disturbance recorder (DRE) and event logging (data stored in non-volatile memory):
- DRE supporting up to 32 analogue signal channels and 64 digital signal channels.
- The event recorder can store more than 10,000 events.
- Several mounting methods: rack-mounted; flush-mounted; semi-flush-mounted; wall-mounted; wall-mounted with terminals; flush-mounted with IP54-rated cover.

Applications
The DTIVA/U relay is a voltage device providing protection against overvoltage (phase and earth), undervoltage as well as frequency variations. It is designed to provide the main protection of isolated neutral networks.
The relay can also be used for source transfer with its synchrocheck function.

Protection and control functions
The DTIVA/U relay measures the three phase voltages as well as the residual voltage (or calculates it depending on the wiring and the settings). It is intended to protect any type of network against voltage and/or frequency variations.
Thanks to its built-in control, measurement and monitoring functions, this intelligent electronic device can also be used as a bay control unit.
