General presentation
SIRACUS 2+ is a centralised automatic reconfiguring system for MV loops. It ensures the continuity of supply of installations operated in an open loop: in the event of a fault on the loop, it automatically isolates the faulty section and re-energises the healthy parts in a minimum of time, according to the nature of the switching devices installed.
Operating and reconfiguration modes
SIRACUS 2+, whatever the type and the manufacturer of the MV cubicles, handles 5 operating modes, activated at the operator’s request or automatically according to the network conditions. The constant objective is to isolate the faulty section and to re-energise the healthy parts in a minimum of time.
GB2+ loop manager
The GB2+ is the operational heart of the SIRACUS 2+ system. Its touch human-machine interface gives a real-time view of the state of the MV loop and provides complete tools for operation, analysis and logging.
Protection relays and fault indicators
The SMARTLINE S24 relay is the field component of the SIRACUS 2+ system. In a single standardised device, it replaces all the references of the previous generation, while providing significantly enriched functionalities. The S24 relay adapts to all cubicles (with or without latching) and to all switching devices, whatever their origin.
Upgrading existing installations
We offer complete upgrade solutions adapted to each operating situation. Compatibility between the SMARTLINE S24 relays and existing SIRACUS installations relies on modifications of the application program of the loop manager.
Test campaign
In order to guarantee the availability and the reliability of the SIRACUS 2+ system throughout the life of the installation, we recommend carrying out a complete test campaign at regular intervals.
