General presentation
The DTIVA/P module is a relay dedicated to the protection, control and automation of distribution and industrial networks. The relay performs complex protection, control and monitoring functions. It belongs to the DTIVA product family of the PROTECTA range. In hardware and software terms, this range is made up of modular devices. Because of this architecture, the modules are assembled and configured according to the user’s needs; from then on, the software determines the functions (SFB).
The EuroCAP configuration tool, available free of charge, provides a user-friendly and flexible application for protection, control and measurement functions, ensuring that the protection devices are fully customisable.

- High-capacity disturbance recorder (DRE) and event logging (data stored in non-volatile memory):
- DRE supporting up to 32 analogue signal channels and 64 digital signal channels.
- The event recorder can store more than 10,000 events.
- Several mounting methods: rack-mounted; flush-mounted; semi-flush-mounted; wall-mounted; wall-mounted with terminals; flush-mounted with IP54-rated cover.

Protection and control functions
The DTIVA/P relay measures the three phase currents, the residual current as well as the three phase voltages and the residual voltage. In addition to the current- and voltage-based functions, these measurements allow the measurement of active and reactive power (over/under). It is mainly intended for the protection of distribution and industrial networks. The range of functions is completed by the vector shift function, which detects the sudden and damaging load variations at the output of asynchronous machines.
